Wales Manager Urges Bale to Stay Put

In News

As one of the most recognizable footballers on the planet, Gareth Bale holds a unique aura. The powerful Welshman has long been seen as one of the most desirable players from the British Isles, and interest from the likes of Manchester United has always lingered in the background. Despite being a United legend, though, new Wales coach Ryan Giggs was unequivocal about his advice: stay in Madrid!

Speaking to The Guardian, Giggs was very clear about what he thought was the best approach to revitalizing the career of the Welshman.

“It’s Real Madrid – there are only a handful of clubs who have got that aura,

“Of course you would want to stay there. What’s Gareth won, three Champions League titles?

“The proof is in that. When you are at clubs like that, you are always going to win things. Gareth has the ability to score every type of goal and there are similarities with Cristiano Ronaldo. They both started out as wingers and they are now goalscorers.”

Bale has often been linked with a return to England, with much of his last two seasons blighted by injury and poor runs of form. This season, he’s been impressive and looks back to his best when fit. Madrid, though, are a hard club to please and often it’s their decision about whether or not you stay.

Take the time to look closer at it, though, and it would appear that the returning to full fitness Bale may be a talent worth holding on to.
